Anthropic Projects $100B Annualized Revenue, Prepares for November IPO
Anthropic expects its annualized revenue run rate to exceed $100 billion this year as it prepares for an initial public offering as early as November, The New York Times reported, citing people familiar with the matter. The run rate projection has climbed sharply as enterprise customers adopt the company's Claude artificial intelligence software. Bloomberg previously reported Anthropic's run rate reached $65 billion as of the end of July, up from $9 billion at the end of 2025. Anthropic and rival OpenAI have both confidentially filed IPO documents. Reuters reported earlier this month that Anthropic could begin IPO promotion in mid-October and complete its listing days before the U.S. midterm elections in November. The Wall Street Journal on Friday also reported a November IPO target. OpenAI CEO Sam Altman has said his company will not go public this year. Amid the IPO push, Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei called last Saturday for slowing development of future AI models, drawing responses from other AI leaders.
