Electronic components companies posted stronger-than-expected first-quarter revenue but delivered a cautious outlook for the coming quarter, according to a sector review published June 5, 2026. On average, revenue beat analyst expectations by 2.9%, while next-quarter revenue guidance fell 0.8% below consensus. The group's shares rose 6.1% on average since reporting. Allient (NASDAQ:ALNT) reported $138.9 million in revenue, a 4.6% year-over-year increase, but missed EBITDA and earnings per share estimates. Its stock rose 15.9%. nLIGHT (NASDAQ:LASR) delivered the fastest growth, with revenue surging 55.2% to $80.18 million, beating estimates by 11.2%; shares climbed 11%. Corning (NYSE:GLW) grew 18.1% to $4.35 billion but issued weak guidance. Advanced Energy (NASDAQ:AEIS) and Novanta (NASDAQ:NOVT) both beat revenue estimates, though Advanced Energy’s stock fell 17.9% while Novanta’s advanced 16.1%.
