Ema Raises $77M Series B to Expand AI Agents Replacing Enterprise SaaS
Ema, a startup deploying coordinated AI agents to automate HR, IT and finance processes, raised $77 million in a Series B led by Bengaluru-based Creaegis, with Accel, Section 32 and Prosus increasing stakes. The round, disclosed on Sept. 23, 2026, was all primary equity, lifting total funding to $140 million and quadrupling its 2024 valuation. Ema says revenue has grown 50-fold over two years, with bookings surpassing $150 million, more than 50 active enterprise deals and over 1 million users. Customers include Microsoft, Google, NTT DATA, Hitachi, ADP, PwC, KPMG and Wipro. Net dollar retention is roughly 180%. CEO Surojit Chatterjee said Ema's software orchestrates more than 150 models and prices on task completion, not seats or tokens, maintaining near-80% gross margins. Proceeds will fund sales and marketing and expansion into Asia-Pacific, South America and the Middle East.
