FocalTherics Partners MellingMedical to Expand Prostate Cancer Treatment Access for Veterans

FocalTherics announced on June 17, 2026, a strategic partnership with MellingMedical to make its Focal One High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) system available to U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and other federal government medical facilities. This collaboration aims to provide advanced prostate cancer treatment options for veterans. The Focal One system, FDA-cleared for prostate tissue ablation, offers a non-invasive treatment for localized prostate cancer. MellingMedical, a verified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), will act as the prime vendor, leveraging its existing federal contracts, including FSS 65IIA, ECAT, and GSA MAS. This partnership significantly expands FocalTherics' reach within the federal healthcare system, potentially increasing adoption of Focal One among the more than 9 million veterans served by the VA.
