JD Sports Fashion H1 Pretax Profit Rises to £241M Despite Organic Sales Decline

JD Sports Fashion (JD.L) reported first-half pretax profit of £241 million ($324 million) on Sept. 23, up from £138 million a year earlier. Statutory basic earnings per share rose to 3.45 pence from 0.80 pence. Organic sales fell 0.7% in the period, signaling underlying demand pressure despite the profit gain.
