Lovable backs Atech in $800,000 pre-seed round to develop AI-assisted hardware prototyping

Lovable invested in Danish hardware startup Atech as part of an $800,000 pre-seed funding round aimed at applying AI-assisted coding tools to hardware prototyping. The round also included a16z’s scout fund, Sequoia Scout Fund and Nordic Makers. Atech sells starter hardware kits and offers an AI chatbot that generates code based on user descriptions, allowing customers to build working prototypes. Atech said the funding will support research and development, marketing and hiring. The company is targeting users ranging from children building simple devices to industrial customers needing precise voltage sensing, according to Gustav Hugod, Atech’s head of customer experience.
