Mainfreight (MFT) FY26 Net Profit Falls 15% on Freight Normalization; Revenue Tops NZ$5.1B, Confident on FY27, Shares Rise
Mainfreight Ltd. (MFT) reported on May 28, 2026, that net profit for fiscal 2026 fell 15% to NZ$303.5 million from NZ$357.1 million a year earlier, as freight forwarding margins normalized. Revenue climbed 7% to NZ$5.1 billion, driven by volume growth across logistics and transport divisions. The logistics group expressed confidence in higher earnings for FY27, citing stabilizing ocean and air freight rates and continued expansion in key markets. “We are well-placed to improve performance in the coming year,” the company said. Shares rose 4.5% in Wellington on the results. Directors declared a final dividend of NZ$1.20 per share, bringing the full-year payout to NZ$2.10, up from NZ$1.85 in FY25.
