In-N-Out Store Managers Average Over $200,000 Annually, COO Confirms

In-N-Out store managers now earn an average salary exceeding $200,000 per year, Chief Operating Officer Denny Warnick confirmed, roughly $40,000 more than the $160,000 average reported in 2018. \nThe figure far outpaces the national average of $55,943 for fast-food store managers, according to Indeed. Warnick attributed the higher pay, along with benefits, to low turnover, noting many associates have stayed with the private chain for decades. \nThe salary increase coincides with In-N-Out's expansion beyond California. The company plans a second headquarters in Tennessee set to open in late 2026, and has added locations in Colorado, Texas and Idaho following a Las Vegas Strip opening on June 9. It has said it intends to open a New Mexico store by 2027. Starting pay at its St. George, Utah, location is $17.50 an hour.
