R&R CEO Rich Francis Files Personal Chapter 11 in Florida
Richard "Rich" Francis, CEO of the collapsed R&R Family of Cos., filed for personal Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on Sept. 22, 2026, in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Florida. Francis estimated assets and liabilities between $10 million and $50 million, with one to 49 creditors, primarily business debts. The filing does not establish that R&R Express, RFX or affiliates have filed for bankruptcy. Detailed schedules are due Oct. 6. The case intersects with Huntington National Bank litigation over the December 2025 transfer of Francis' Marco Island residence; a state court stayed that case. A status conference is set for Oct. 21 and a creditors meeting for Oct. 27. R&R began shutting down operations in January, leaving hundreds jobless and freight businesses pursuing unpaid invoices.
