Atomic Raises $12.5M Series A to Automate Supply Chain Decisions With AI

Atomic, a Boston-based supply chain startup founded by former Tesla executives, raised a $12.5 million Series A led by Klass Capital and Madrona Venture Group, bringing total funding to over $15 million, the company announced September 29, 2026. The company's AI software simulates inventory scenarios and automatically executes purchasing decisions. Customers include DoorDash — which runs about 90% of purchasing across hundreds of sites on the platform — and HelloFresh. Atomic's annual recurring revenue has quintupled since the start of 2026, according to board member Jon McNeill, a former Tesla president. The startup also named longtime Tesla planning director Jeff Goodrich as CTO and third co-founder. CEO Michael Rossiter said Atomic is expanding into consumer packaged goods, mobility and manufacturing, building on its Tesla roots. The company traces its origins to Tesla's 2018 Model 3 production ramp, when spreadsheets could not keep pace with planning changes.
