Mutares to Acquire Steinmüller Engineering From IHI Group in Q4 2026 Close

Mutares SE & Co. KGaA (MUX.DE) said Tuesday it signed an agreement to acquire Steinmüller Engineering GmbH from IHI Corp. (7013.T) in a share deal expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2026. Financial terms were not disclosed. Steinmüller, a German thermal-process engineering provider for the energy and industrial sectors, employs about 170 people and posted total output of nearly €100 million in its last financial year. The company supplies engineering, procurement and turnkey EPC solutions for combustion and incineration systems, air pollution control and heat transfer, with more than 1,300 projects delivered to over 500 customers across 80 countries. Steinmüller has been part of IHI Group since 2014. IHI shares fell 2.71% to JPY 2,688 in Tokyo. Mutares closed Monday down 1.65% at EUR 23.90 on XETRA.
