Nscale Taps Meta Veteran Justin Osofsky as COO Ahead of $3 Billion IPO

Nscale, the London-based AI infrastructure company, hired longtime Meta Platforms executive Justin Osofsky as chief operating officer to accelerate expansion ahead of its initial public offering, according to a person familiar with the matter. Osofsky spent 18 years at Meta, most recently as chief partnerships officer, and will report to CEO Josh Payne, overseeing global operations. Nscale, which develops AI data centers with partners including Nvidia Corp. and Microsoft Corp., filed in September 2026 for a New York IPO seeking to raise as much as $3 billion. Spun off from a cryptocurrency mining operation in early 2024, the company became a prominent "neo-cloud" operator renting computing resources to AI developers. Osofsky joins a leadership group of Meta veterans. Former Meta COO Sheryl Sandberg sits on Nscale's board and helped recruit former global affairs head Nick Clegg and ex-OpenAI executive Fidji Simo.
