Electrolux Names Daniele Rossi Chief Procurement Officer, Succeeding Michelle Shi-Verdaasdonk
Electrolux Group appointed supply chain veteran Daniele Rossi as head of procurement, effective Sept. 1, 2026, the global home appliance maker said in a Sept. 23 press release. Rossi reports to Chief Product Officer Michelle Shi-Verdaasdonk, who held the procurement post for 14 months before moving to her current role in January 2026. Based in Susegana, Italy, Rossi brings more than 30 years of procurement, supply chain, quality and product development experience. He previously served as chief procurement officer at Italian steelmaker Acciaierie d'Italia. Rossi said he will pursue "design-to-cost" initiatives in early R&D, aligning component standardization and platform-sharing across global product families to cut complexity and cost before production. He also plans to co-develop sustainable products with direct-material suppliers, accelerate time to market and strengthen supply resilience, evaluating suppliers on carbon footprint, environmental performance and labor standards. "Sustainability and responsible sourcing are no longer optional," Rossi said, adding that it can support better market pricing.
