Nexperia China Declares Independence, Restores Output After Dutch Block

Nexperia China’s production and delivery capabilities are recovering after its operational split from Dutch parent Nexperia, Wingtech Technology Chairperson Yang Mu said on May 29, 2026, signaling stabilization following a 2025 Dutch government intervention to prevent a China shift. Speaking in Shanghai, Yang told the China Star Market that Nexperia China’s independent operational structure has largely been established, with core management and R&D teams fully authorized over business decisions. The unit severed ties with Nexperia Europe, which halted wafer shipments to China, prompting it to forge alliances with multiple Chinese suppliers. A stable multi-node, multi-source supply model is now formally implemented, Yang said, underscoring the unit’s resilience. Wingtech (Shanghai: 600745), the Chinese owner of Nexperia, has acknowledged its control over the Dutch chipmaker remains restricted following the October 2025 Dutch decree that blocked the transfer of chip operations to China.
