Oilfield Services Stocks, Including Oceaneering (OII), Beat Q1 Revenue Estimates but Decline 4.7%

Oilfield services companies reported first-quarter 2026 revenues that exceeded analyst consensus by 3.8%, yet sector stocks fell an average 4.7% as market sentiment pivoted from AI disruption fears to geopolitical risk from the U.S.-Iran conflict. The 26 tracked firms benefited from resilient upstream spending, but investor caution over commodity price swings weighed on valuations. Oceaneering International (NYSE:OII) posted revenue of $692.4 million, up 2.7% year-over-year and 3.5% above estimates, but missed EBITDA and earnings forecasts, leaving shares flat. Select Water Solutions (WTTR) gained 4.1% after topping all metrics. Borr Drilling (BORR) slid 18.3% after the weakest performance against estimates. Atlas Energy Solutions (AESI) fell 6% and TechnipFMC (FTI) dropped 10.9%, both delivering mixed results that failed to reassure investors.
