Philips and Kamada Win FDA Approvals; Fulcrum Halts Pociredir; ResMed Acquires Noctrix; Novartis Advances in IgAN

Philips (PHG) and Kamada (KMDA) secured U.S. regulatory wins, while Fulcrum Therapeutics (FULC) discontinued development of its rare disease candidate pociredir, and ResMed (RMD) expanded its sleep health portfolio through an acquisition, during the week ended June 5, 2026. Philips gained FDA clearance for a new imaging system, and Kamada won approval for a plasma-derived therapy. Separately, Fulcrum said it halted a late-stage trial of pociredir in facioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy due to lack of efficacy, leading to a sharp sell-off in its shares. ResMed closed its purchase of Noctrix Health, adding a wearable device for sleep apnea to its lineup. In the immunology space, Novartis (NVS) reported positive Phase III data for its therapy in IgA nephropathy, positioning it as a potential leader in the indication. The stock edged higher on the news.
