PlaceMKR Acquires Five At Home-Leased Retail Properties for $31.9M Across Three States

Austin-based real estate firm PlaceMKR acquired five retail properties in Texas, Mississippi and Ohio for $31.9 million, expanding beyond Texas for the first time. The portfolio totals 534,000 square feet across 46 acres at approximately $60 per square foot. All five properties are leased by Texas-based home furnishings retailer At Home, which filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in June 2025 and emerged in October following restructuring. The seller was LCN Capital Partners; Northmarq's Bryn Feller and Josh Dicker brokered the deal. Co-founder Christopher Cortese said the acquisition price was roughly one-third of current replacement cost for similar big-box assets. The portfolio includes freestanding land parcels PlaceMKR may sell or lease for restaurant or retail use. At Home operates 229 stores across 39 states.
