SpaceX Eligible for Fast-Track Russell, FTSE Index Inclusion Under New Rules

SpaceX is now eligible for fast-track inclusion in both the Russell U.S. Equity Indexes and FTSE Global Equity Index Series under new rules, index provider FTSE Russell confirmed on May 26. The company’s estimated $70 billion investable market capitalization clears the $17.5 billion market-adjusted breakpoint for Russell Top 500 and the $13.5 billion fast-entry threshold for FTSE GEIS. SpaceX, which is eyeing a valuation up to $1.75 trillion, targets a June 12 listing, with a June 4 roadshow and share sale starting June 11. Inclusion would add the stock to indexes including Russell Top 50, Russell 1000, and FTSE’s Global All Series, All-World, and World Indexes. FTSE Russell cautioned the assessment is based on limited information and could be revised. The listing adds to a busy IPO calendar featuring OpenAI and Anthropic.
