SpaceX prepares IPO filing disclosure as soon as week of May 18

SpaceX may publicly release its IPO prospectus as soon as the week of May 18, 2026, after confidentially filing in April, CNBC reported, citing people familiar with the matter. The Elon Musk-founded rocket company is moving toward what could be the largest IPO on record. SpaceX plans to begin its IPO roadshow on June 08, 2026, according to the report. IPO rules require documents to be made public at least 15 days before the roadshow, though the company and advisers are considering an earlier release to give investors more time to review financials. The timing could still change. Bloomberg previously reported SpaceX is targeting a $70 billion to $75 billion IPO, more than twice Saudi Aramco’s 2019 record. The company was valued at $1.25 trillion after a February merger with Musk’s xAI. Advisers are also seeking distribution channels outside the U.S., including brokers in the U.K., Japan and Canada, to reach long-term retail investors.
