Spotify (SPOT-US) Enters Print Book Sales via Bookshop.org, Launches Page Match; Shares Rise Two Days

Spotify (SPOT-US) announced February 5 it is entering the print book market, starting sales in the U.S. and the U.K. through a partnership with Bookshop.org beginning in the late spring of 2026, within its App. The company also launched "Page Match" to bridge print and audiobook experiences: users can scan pages to sync reading and listening progress, and vice versa. The iOS and Android versions of Page Match are scheduled for release by the end of February 2026, supporting most English titles. Premium and Audiobook+ subscribers can use the feature in their monthly plans; free users can access it for purchased books. The initiative is designed to support independent bookstores and authors via a share of print sales. Spotify's shares rose 3% on the announcement and continued higher on February 6, closing at $422.61 per share.
