StockStory Advises Avoiding Agilysys, America’s Car-Mart, Thermo Fisher Stocks
Investment research firm StockStory on May 29, 2026, cautioned investors to steer clear of Agilysys (NASDAQ:AGYS), America’s Car-Mart (NASDAQ:CRMT), and Thermo Fisher Scientific (NYSE:TMO), arguing their cash generation masks poor reinvestment and limited growth potential. Agilysys, a hospitality software provider, posted a trailing 12-month free cash flow margin of 21.3% but trades at 6.1 times forward price-to-sales with a share price of $82.73. America’s Car-Mart, a used-car retailer, generated an FCF margin of just 1.1%; its stock at $12.86 implies a valuation of 21.4 times forward EV-to-EBITDA. Thermo Fisher, a scientific equipment giant, reported a 14.9% FCF margin yet trades at 18 times forward P/E, with shares at $486.44. StockStory emphasized that cash production alone does not equate to a winning investment and urged a focus on companies that reinvest wisely to drive expansion.
