StockStory Flags Papa John’s, WesBanco, Tenaris as Risky Sub-$50 Picks

StockStory on May 29, 2026 advised investors to avoid three stocks trading between $10 and $50, citing unfavorable valuations and shaky business models. The firm highlighted Papa John’s International (NASDAQ:PZZA), WesBanco (NASDAQ:WSBC), and Tenaris (NYSE:TEN) as names to steer clear of. Papa John’s, at $34.50 per share, trades at 20.7 times forward earnings, a level StockStory views as risky given the pizza chain’s challenges. WesBanco, priced at $34.69, carries a price-to-book ratio of just 0.8 times, but the bank holding company’s fundamentals raised caution. Tenaris, at $37.13, trades at 1.4 times trailing 12-month sales, a multiple the firm considers unattractive for the steel pipe manufacturer serving the oil and gas industry. The warnings come amid a market rotation that StockStory says is separating quality stocks from overvalued ones at a rapid pace. Investors were urged to seek better opportunities elsewhere.
