Trump meets Xi in Beijing as U.S.-China trade talks collide with Iran war risks

President Donald Trump arrived in Beijing on May 13, 2026, for a 36-hour summit with Chinese President Xi Jinping aimed at stabilizing U.S.-China trade ties as the Iran war adds geopolitical pressure.
