U.S. semiconductor firms control 64% of top 35 market value as Nvidia leads with $5.05 trillion
U.S. semiconductor companies held 64.27% of the combined market value of the world’s 35 largest chip firms as of April 20, 2026, underscoring continued U.S. dominance in high-end chip design and advanced manufacturing exposure. The top 35 companies had a combined market capitalization of $17.397 trillion. Sixteen U.S. firms accounted for $11.18 trillion, led by Nvidia (NVDA) at $5.051 trillion, or 29.03% of the total. Nvidia’s market value exceeded the combined value of the companies ranked second through fifth. Broadcom (AVGO), Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), Intel (INTC) and Micron Technology (MU) also ranked among leading U.S. names. China had three companies in the ranking — Cambricon, SMIC and Naura Technology — with a combined value of $252.39 billion, or 1.45% of the total. Taiwan ranked second by region with four companies worth $2.424 trillion, led by TSMC (TSM) at $2.175 trillion. South Korea ranked third with $2.036 trillion, driven by Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix.
