Nvidia Expands Sovereign AI Push Across Southeast Asia With Government, Smart City Deployments

Nvidia (NVDA) said on September 23, 2026, it is expanding sovereign AI deployments across Southeast Asia, moving governments from pilot projects to production-grade applications focused on public services, critical infrastructure and enterprise use. Singapore's HTX is using the Nemotron 3 Super and Nemotron 3 Nano Omni models for public safety research, including complex reasoning and multimodal applications built on real-world operational data. Enterprise partners NCS and ST Engineering are deploying Nemotron models, the VSS Blueprint and cuOpt across agentic AI and physical AI use cases such as Marine MRO. The push extends to Malaysia's YTL AI Labs, Vietnam's Viettel AI and Thailand's Big Data Institute and iApp Technology, whose Thanoy legal chatbot serves about 43,000 users. Brunei's Antrique is building an AI platform for food-industry productivity. Smart-city work includes ITMAX in Malaysia using Cosmos and VSS to improve traffic operations, while Thailand's AS-TECH applies the same stack to airport passenger flow.
