Nvidia (NVDA) CEO Jensen Huang Hints at Seoul GTC, Names Robotics Top Investment

Nvidia (NVDA) CEO Jensen Huang on June 1 signaled the company may hold its flagship GTC conference in Seoul if Korean partners show interest, speaking at a partner dinner in Taipei. Huang also identified robotics as a critical future investment focus, saying Nvidia is expanding collaboration with South Korean firms Samsung, SK Hynix, Hyundai Motor, LG Electronics, and Doosan on “physical AI.” During the event, Huang discussed ongoing evaluations of investment opportunities in South Korea, citing its robust industrial ecosystem. He stressed that robotics could help address the country's shrinking workforce and unlock potential. On high-bandwidth memory (HBM), he emphasized the need for long-term ties with SK Hynix to meet performance, quality, and supply requirements. Huang is scheduled to visit Seoul on June 4 for meetings with major business leaders, though he declined to confirm specific appointments. He added that Nvidia’s strong performance this year and a busy pipeline prompted the trip to prepare for next-stage growth.
