Nvidia (NVDA) CEO Jensen Huang will detail a surge in the company’s Taiwanese spending to $150 billion per year during the Computex Taipei conference, which runs June 2-5, from $10-15 billion four years ago. The chipmaker will also host its GTC Taipei event starting June 1, with a keynote likely to highlight the next-generation Vera Rubin AI platform entering full production and a secret product teased at a dinner with Quanta Computer executives. Rival Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) said it is investing over $10 billion in Taiwan’s AI infrastructure ecosystems, and will provide updates on its Helios server rack that competes directly with Nvidia’s NVL72. Intel (INTC) CEO Lip-Bu Tan and Qualcomm (QCOM) CEO Cristiano Amon will also give keynotes, with all four chip giants expected to emphasize AI data center products over consumer segments.
