Nvidia (NVDA) Unveils Humanoid Robot Platform, Eyes $200 Billion Market
Nvidia (NVDA) announced a new hardware and software platform for humanoid robots on Monday, June 22, 2026. The platform, named Halos, aims to enhance safety for close human-robot interaction, accelerating deployment in factories, logistics, retail, and healthcare sectors. This initiative positions Nvidia to capture a share of the humanoid robot market, which Barclays projects could reach $200 billion by 2035. The Halos platform extends Nvidia's autonomous vehicle safety technology, enabling robots to dynamically assess environments and interact with objects rather than merely stopping upon detecting proximity. It combines Halos software with the IGX Thor computing platform. Nvidia also established a dedicated lab to assist manufacturers with safety testing and certification, aiming to expedite product commercialization. Agility Robotics' Digit humanoid robot is among the first to integrate the platform.
