NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang launched the Vera CPU at GTC Taipei 2026 on June 1, targeting the agentic AI era and declaring a direct assault on the personal computer market. The next-generation Vera Rubin AI processor has entered full production and will begin shipping this autumn, completing agent tasks 80% faster than predecessors, the company said. Vera, designed for data centers and autonomous AI workflows, features 88 cores and 176 threads with a 450W thermal design, delivering roughly 1.6 times the performance of the prior Grace CPU. NVIDIA also announced the RTX Spark super chip, a CPU-GPU hybrid co-developed with MediaTek for Arm-based Windows PCs, with systems from Dell and Lenovo expected this autumn. Initial heavyweight customers for Vera include SpaceX, Anthropic, and OpenAI, fortifying NVIDIA's AI infrastructure footprint.
