Novo Nordisk A/S (NVO) reported new CagriSema data at the EASD 2026 Annual Meeting on Wednesday, showing the investigational obesity and type 2 diabetes drug altered brain responses to high-calorie food cues and reduced organ fat and bone loss. NVO rose 0.44% to $38.49. In a 52-week fMRI study, CagriSema reduced food cravings, hunger and appetite alongside a 22.4% weight reduction versus placebo. A REIMAGINE 1 MRI substudy showed reductions in abdominal, liver and pancreatic fat with 14.3% weight loss at Week 40. A REIMAGINE 2 post-hoc analysis found maintained bone measures with 14.2% weight reduction at Week 68. The once-weekly combination of cagrilintide and semaglutide is in the REDEFINE and REIMAGINE Phase 3 programs. Novo filed a U.S. NDA for obesity in December 2025, with an FDA decision expected in Q4 2026.
