Fuel prices will drop 12 cents per litre starting Monday, June 1, 2026, according to data released May 29 by energy advisory firm Anarec. The decline, which would mark a significant easing for consumers and businesses, is pegged to current market conditions and the government’s fuel tax discount level. The final reduction could be smaller if the government decides to trim the tax break, Anarec noted. The discount, introduced as a cost-of-living measure, has been under review, and any adjustment would offset the market-driven decline.
