Okta Profit Climbs on Strong Enterprise Demand; Shares Rise After-Hours

Okta Inc. (OKTA) reported higher fiscal first-quarter profit on May 28, 2026, as the identity-management company benefited from growing enterprise adoption of its security tools. Net income rose to $78 million, or $0.46 per share, from $45 million, or $0.28 per share, a year earlier. Revenue increased 22% to $812 million, exceeding analysts’ estimates of $795 million. Adjusted earnings of $0.72 per share surpassed the $0.61 consensus. Subscription revenue, its core business, gained 23% to $789 million, reflecting strong demand for workforce and customer identity solutions amid elevated cyber threats. Okta ended the quarter with 19,450 customers, adding 550 new logos. The company raised its full-year revenue outlook to between $3.45 billion and $3.50 billion, above prior guidance, citing a robust pipeline and large deal momentum. Shares climbed 6% in extended trading.
