(OSIS) said Monday its Optoelectronics and Manufacturing division received approximately $7 million in orders from a leading industrial controls original equipment manufacturer for electronic sub-assemblies. The company did not disclose the customer's identity or a delivery timeline for the orders. OSI Systems, based in Hawthorne, California, manufactures specialized electronic systems for security, healthcare and defense markets. The orders add to the division's backlog, which supplies custom optoelectronic components and contract manufacturing services. Shares of OSI Systems trade on the Nasdaq under the ticker OSIS. Financial terms beyond the stated order value were not released.
