Palantir Technologies (PLTR-US) said on October 2, 2026, it is expanding its partnership with edge infrastructure provider Armada to integrate its Sovereign AI operating system into Armada's Galleon data centers, extending AI compute from traditional large-scale facilities to deployable edge environments. The Galleon platform uses a modular design that places high-performance computing outside conventional data centers. Prior deployment plans include modular units carrying Nvidia (NVDA-US) B300 GPUs, with 32 B300 chips per unit, bringing AI inference and high-performance computing closer to where data is generated. The move follows Palantir's March 2026 release of a sovereign AI operating system reference architecture with Nvidia covering AI infrastructure, compute hardware and application deployment. Integrating that software into Armada's Galleon marks a shift from reference design toward actual infrastructure deployment, targeting defense, government and heavily regulated industries where data location and system control are key adoption considerations.
