Trump buys Palantir shares before public PLTR endorsement, filings show
President Donald Trump bought $247,000 to $630,000 of Palantir Technologies Inc. stock in the first quarter of 2026 before publicly praising the company and citing its PLTR ticker on Truth Social, CNBC reported, citing newly released Office of Government Ethics filings. The filings show Trump added to Palantir at least seven times in March 2026, with purchases totaling as much as $530,000. In April 2026, after Palantir suffered its worst weekly stock decline in more than a year, Trump posted support for the defense software company amid selling tied to the Iran war and criticism from short seller Michael Burry. The Trump Organization said the assets are held in discretionary accounts managed independently by third-party financial institutions and that Trump, his family and the company do not direct trades. The filings also show Trump sold up to $5 million of Palantir on February 10, 2026, and bought $1 million to $5 million each of Nvidia, ServiceNow, Workday, Oracle and Microsoft in February 2026.
