Paramount Streaming Chief Cindy Holland Exits, Paving Way for HBO's Casey Bloys
Paramount Skydance streaming chairman Cindy Holland resigned effective immediately on September 29, 2026, clearing the path for HBO Chairman Casey Bloys to take a key role once Paramount completes its $111-billion acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery. Holland, who joined Paramount about 14 months ago to oversee Paramount+ and Pluto TV, announced her departure in a staff memo. CEO David Ellison has signaled he intends to install Bloys in a pivotal role at the combined company, citing HBO stability. Paramount is awaiting a federal judge's approval of a settlement with California Attorney General Rob Bonta and 11 other Democratic attorneys general, ending an antitrust lawsuit over the merger. The company hopes to close the Warner deal in early October.
