PTC Therapeutics Closes Sangamo Deal for Fabry Gene Therapy ST-920, Eyes Q4 BLA Filing

PTC Therapeutics Inc. (PTCT) said on Sept. 22, 2026, it completed its previously announced acquisition of ST-920, an investigational AAV gene therapy for Fabry disease, from Sangamo Therapeutics Inc. The asset is described as BLA-stage, and PTC expects completion of the Biologics License Application in the fourth quarter of 2026. Financial terms were not disclosed in the announcement. The deal hands PTC a late-stage gene therapy candidate, expanding its pipeline beyond its existing rare-disease portfolio.
