Palvella Therapeutics Secures Third Year of FDA Orphan Drug Grant Funding for QTORIN Rapamycin Trial

Palvella Therapeutics, Inc. (PVLA) said on September 28, 2026, that it received a third year of grant funding from the FDA Office of Orphan Products Development to support the Phase 3 SELVA trial and an ongoing open-label extension study of QTORIN 3.9% rapamycin anhydrous gel (QTORIN rapamycin). The funding supports development of the topical therapy for lymphatic malformations, a rare vascular condition. Financial terms of the grant were not disclosed. The FDA's orphan products grant program provides funding to advance development of treatments for rare diseases. Palvella has now received the grant for three consecutive years.
