uniQure Shares Plunge 37% After Huntington's Data Misses Statistical Significance

Shares of uniQure N.V. (QURE) fell 37.61% to $24.40 on Sept. 29 after the company reported additional Phase I/II data for ifezuntirgene inilparvovec in Huntington's disease that failed to reach statistical significance. At 48 months, the Unified Huntington's Disease Rating Scale showed a 44% slowing of disease progression versus an updated external control. The result carried a p-value of 0.144, above the 0.05 threshold for statistical significance. The stock, which traded between $8.73 and $71.50 over the past 52 weeks, closed the prior session at $39.11 before Tuesday's decline.
