Roche Holding AG (RHHBY) on May 27, 2026, launched a non-invasive liver disease panel designed to help clinicians identify patients at risk of cirrhosis and advanced fibrosis earlier. The blood-based biomarker test aims to improve outcomes by enabling timely intervention before irreversible liver damage occurs. The panel, which will be available through Roche’s centralized diagnostics network, integrates multiple proprietary biomarkers and algorithms. Roche said the test addresses a critical medical need, as chronic liver disease often progresses silently and affects an estimated 1.5 billion people worldwide. The company expects the launch to strengthen its diagnostics division, which contributed 14.1 billion Swiss francs in revenue in 2025. Shares of Roche’s ADR rose 0.4% in morning trading. The rollout is part of Roche’s broader strategy to expand beyond oncology into specialty diagnostics, leveraging its installed base of Cobas analyzers in laboratories globally.
