RTX Corporation (RTX) announced Monday that its Raytheon subsidiary secured a $20.7 billion five-year multi-year contract with two options for AMRAAM missiles under the Department of War's Arsenal of Freedom program. The deal requires Raytheon to accelerate annual AMRAAM production to at least 1,900 missiles. RTX said it has invested heavily in recent years to expand AMRAAM and other munitions output, nearly doubling production in 2025 versus 2024. The fifth-generation AMRAAM operates on 14 platforms across 44 countries, with over 7,000 successful live fires in test and combat. RTX shares closed at $187.66 on Sept. 28, 2026, down 0.92% on the New York Stock Exchange.
