Samsung Forecast to Overtake Nvidia (NVDA) as World’s Most Profitable Company by 2027; SK Hynix Third
Samsung Electronics is projected to generate $331 billion in operating profit in 2027, edging out Nvidia’s (NVDA) $329 billion to become the world’s most profitable company, according to Bloomberg estimates. SK Hynix ranks third with $243 billion, marking a sharp shift of AI-driven profits toward memory-chip makers. Taiwan Semiconductor (TSM) placed ninth at $109 billion. Exploding demand for high-bandwidth memory (HBM) in AI servers fuels the surge for Samsung and SK Hynix. Samsung’s outlook is bolstered by a reported exclusive three-year deal to supply displays for Apple’s first foldable iPhone, adding a second growth engine alongside its memory business. Nvidia remains central to AI computing, but incremental profit is heavily tilted toward infrastructure suppliers. In the broader ranking, Alphabet (GOOGL) sits fifth at $193 billion, Apple (AAPL) sixth at $168 billion, and Microsoft (MSFT) seventh at $166 billion. The forecast signals that hardware backbone companies are now outpacing platform giants in absolute earnings growth during the AI build-out.
