Sidus Space Shifts Two LizzieSat Satellites to SpaceX Bandwagon-6, Launch Set for April 2027

Sidus Space (SIDU-US) announced on September 28, 2026, that its LizzieSat-4 and LizzieSat-5 satellites will launch together on SpaceX's Bandwagon-6 rideshare mission, with liftoff targeted no earlier than April 2027. LizzieSat-5 was originally scheduled to fly on Transporter-18 as early as October 2026. The company moved it to Bandwagon-6 to expand qualification testing of its Fortis VPX-Maxima platform across different mission environments and interfaces. Bandwagon-6 will launch from Florida's Space Coast, marking Sidus's first mission from the East Coast, where its satellite manufacturing base is located. Both satellites will ship directly from the company's Cape Canaveral manufacturing, assembly and testing facility to the launch site and be placed in a mid-inclination orbit. Cape Canaveral Space Force Station completed 82 launches in 2025, accounting for 25% of global launch activity. LizzieSat-4 remains in production ahead of environmental testing, while LizzieSat-5 has completed environmental testing and awaits final integration.
