U.S. stock futures were little changed in overnight trading Sunday as investors paused following a May rally that propelled major indexes to record highs. Dow (YM=F) and S&P 500 (ES=F) futures hovered near flat, while Nasdaq 100 (NQ=F) futures edged up 0.1%. The Nasdaq Composite surged more than 8% in May, the S&P 500 gained about 5% and the Dow rose nearly 3%. Technology shares led the advance, pushing indexes into new territory as Wall Street closed out a powerful month. Oil prices moved higher, with West Texas Intermediate crude (CL=F) up 1.8% to just below $89 a barrel after President Trump said he would make a "final determination" on Iran and demanded reopening of the Strait of Hormuz. Brent crude (BZ=F) added 1.5% to $92. Despite the rebound, WTI logged its largest monthly decline since April 2025, falling nearly 17% in May. Looking ahead, investors will focus on Friday, June 5, nonfarm payrolls report, which could provide fresh clues on labor market strength and help shape expectations for the Federal Reserve's interest-rate path.
