Takeda's Zasocitinib Tops Sotyktu in Phase 3 Psoriasis Trial, Delivering Superior Skin Clearance
Takeda Pharmaceutical (TAK, 4502.T) reported that its investigational oral TYK2 inhibitor zasocitinib (TAK-279) outperformed deucravacitinib (Sotyktu) across all primary and key secondary endpoints in the Phase 3 LATITUDE Atlas head-to-head study in moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis. More than 2.5 times as many zasocitinib-treated patients achieved complete skin clearance at week 16, with separation observed as early as week 8. Long-term data from LATITUDE PsO 3001 and 3002 showed durable response, with up to 93% of week-24 responders maintaining clearance through week 52. Safety remained consistent across studies. Data were presented at the EADV Congress 2026. Zasocitinib is also in Phase 3 development for psoriatic arthritis. Takeda shares rose 0.80% to 5,785 yen, within a 52-week range of 4,102 to 6,033 yen.
