Teledyne Taps Mary Grace DeForest for IR and M&A Role as Vice Chairman VanWees Sets 2027 Retirement
Teledyne Technologies (TDY) named Mary Grace DeForest Corporate Vice President of Investor Relations and Mergers and Acquisitions, effective November 1, 2026, succeeding Vice Chairman Jason VanWees, who will retire effective February 1, 2027 after more than two decades with the company. TDY shares fell 0.98% to $604.87. VanWees, who joined Teledyne before its 1999 spin-off and became Vice Chairman in 2021, led the acquisition of 75 businesses for a cumulative $12.8 billion while overseeing capital allocation and investor relations. DeForest joined Teledyne in 2011 as a manufacturing engineer and currently serves as Senior Vice President and General Manager of Teledyne Microwave, overseeing businesses with 880 employees and $320 million in annual revenue. Teledyne said the overlap between DeForest's appointment and VanWees' retirement is intended to ensure continuity. The company separately agreed on August 10, 2026 to acquire Varex Imaging for $1.1 billion, a deal expected to close in early 2027 and expand its medical imaging portfolio.
