Tesla announced Sept. 29, 2026, that it has secured $30 billion in new credit facilities to support scaling of its Cybercab robotaxi, Optimus robot and Tesla Semi programs, all of which require dedicated manufacturing lines. Citibank agreed to a $20 billion three-year delayed-draw term loan, while Wells Fargo signed an $8 billion five-year revolving credit facility and a $2 billion 364-day revolving facility. Tesla said in a regulatory filing it does not plan to draw on the facilities this year. The company has projected at least $25 billion in capital expenditures for 2026. It ended the second quarter with roughly $9 billion in debt and more than $40 billion in cash and investments.
