Tesla (TSLA) will unveil its next-generation Roadster on Oct. 1, 2026, at SpaceX's McGregor, Texas, test facility, with reservations reopened at a $50,000 deposit — $5,000 by card, then $45,000 by wire within 10 days. The model is expected to become Tesla's most expensive vehicle, with the original 2017 specs citing a $200,000 base price, 1.9-second 0-60 mph time and 620-mile range, plus a $250,000 Founder's Series. Despite a dense catalyst calendar — a Semi event on Sept. 24, the Roadster launch, third-quarter deliveries and earnings — Tesla's one-month implied volatility sits near the 36th percentile of its past-year range. Thirty-day IV at roughly 41% is near the low end of its 12-month band. The muted pricing follows a tepid reception to the Cybercab debut on Sept. 3. Tesla trades at about 213 times forward earnings, versus roughly 22 for Uber (UBER) and 7 for Ford (F).
