Design software stocks fall after Q1 earnings as Unity (U), Procore (PCOR) lag peers

Design software stocks declined after a broadly stronger-than-expected first-quarter earnings season, with the six tracked companies beating consensus revenue estimates by an average of 3% while shares fell 4.1% on average since results. Unity (NYSE: U) reported revenue of $508.2 million, up 16.8% from a year earlier and 0.9% above analyst estimates, but posted the weakest revenue beat in the group. Its shares were down 1% since reporting and traded at $27.00 as of May 14, 2026. Procore (NYSE: PCOR) fell the most, down 19.5% to $50.00, despite revenue rising 15.7% to $359.3 million, 1.9% above estimates. PTC (NASDAQ: PTC) led the group with revenue of $774.3 million, up 21.7% and 8.6% above estimates; its shares rose 6.8% to $146.01. Cadence Design Systems (NASDAQ: CDNS) gained 7.6% to $362.05 after revenue rose 18.7% to $1.47 billion. Dolby (NYSE: DLB) fell 9.5% to $58.05 after issuing weaker next-quarter guidance.
