WEBTOON Faces Q1 Revenue Decline Expectations Ahead of May 18 Earnings Report

WEBTOON Entertainment (NASDAQ: WBTN) is scheduled to report first-quarter results after the market close on May 18, 2026, with Wall Street expecting revenue to fall 1.6% from a year earlier. The digital storytelling platform missed revenue expectations in the prior quarter, reporting $330.7 million, down 6.3% year over year. The company also issued weaker-than-expected revenue guidance and reported 160 million monthly active users, unchanged from a year earlier. Analysts have largely maintained estimates over the past 30 days, though WEBTOON has missed consensus revenue forecasts multiple times over the past two years. Peer results have been mixed: Stride posted 2.7% revenue growth in Q1 and met expectations, while Ziff Davis revenue fell 18.6% and missed estimates by 6.9%. WEBTOON shares have risen 19.4% over the past month, outpacing the digital media and content platforms group’s average gain of 10.9%. The stock recently traded at $13.28, above the average analyst price target of $12.21.
